Required textbook and CPS Clicker

For this class you will need:

1. Textbook: Montgomery, “Environmental Geology”
2. CPS Clicker (a blue TV remote-like device)
3. An enrollment code (to register your clicker with the class)
4. Discussion packet (from Bob’s Copy Shop, Randall Tower)

1. Textbook: Montgomery, “Environmental Geology”

This book is published by McGraw-Hill. We will be using the 6^th edition (below right), however you can purchase the 5^th edition (below left) if you prefer which is very similar and available at a lower cost (check online bookstores).

Note: If you purchase a new textbook, it will come with item 3, an enrollment code. (The code is printed on a yellow card shrink-wrapped with the text.)

2. CPS Clicker

This is a wireless device which you will need to respond to questions in the lectures and discussion section. A CPS Clicker is required for all students.

You can purchase the CPS Clickers at the University Bookstore.

3. Enrollment code

This code is required for you to register your clicker with the class.

If you purchase a new textbook, it will come shrink-wrapped with the text (on a yellow card as shown below).

If you purchased a secondhand textbook and a separate clicker, you will need to purchase an enrollment code online with a credit card.

To register your clicker (and purchase an enrollment code online if necessary) follow these instructions.

4. Discussion packet

You will need this packet for your first discussion (starting the first week of classes). It is available from Bob’s Copy Shop in Randall Tower (opposite Union South on West Johnson Street).
