The Sixteenth Street
Community Health Center works to provide vital services to the
community on the south side of Milwaukee. The Center strives to
serve this population in a way that is free of economic or other barriers
to health services.
SSCHC also is taking steps to improve environmental
health conditions in their community through increasing awareness of the
dangers of lead paint, addressing the drastically increasing levels of
asthma in inner city communities and working with over 200 individuals and
organizations towards Menomonee Valley Improvement.
