The course will be held on the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus with day trips to a housing project in southeast Chicago , downtown Milwaukee, the Fox River Valley, the Menominee reservation, Point Beach Nuclear Plant, and a tour of local facilities, including a local landfill, a sewage treatment plant and a local power plant. 

Visiting the sites will allow participants to gain an appreciation for environmental impacts that can only be fully understood by visiting in person.  These experiences are integral to the class and will allow participants to see the struggles of environmental justice that happen in our own communities.

One of the trips will require an overnight.  This cost will be covered in the course fee.
