LAURENTIDE ICE SHEET RUNOFF
We have been working on reconstructing Laurentide runoff through the last deglaciation using predominately marine archives. We are predominately investigating the effects freshwater discharge may have on ocean circulation and climate.
RESEARCHERS INVOLVED

We predominately collaborate with Gary Klinkhammer at Oregon State University. Libby Obbink completed her M.S. thesis on this project. Currently Kelsey Winsor is investigating runoff routes during the Younger Dryas and undergraduate Jeremy Hoffman at Augustana College is reconstructing Holocene Laurentide runoff. This also includes modeling experiments conducted with Z. Liu (AOS) and B. Otto-Bliesner (NCAR).
