OVER THE RIVER

Over the river and through the snow,

to Hekla volcano we dash.

The bus knows the way, following Robert's say,

Through the black and drifting ash.

Over the glacier and on the moraine,

to Gigajokul we go.

We're hoping today, this fog goes away,

to see the car, you know.

Over the sandur and past Helen's holes,

to Skeiderarjokull we trudge,

Cross bedded debris is easy to see,

in the Jokulhalaup deposited sludge.

Over the columns and up to the falls,

to Svartafos we stroll,

Then back down to the fjall, Prispinni for all!
