Mickelson the Iceman

(sung to the tune of Frosty the Snowman)
Glacial Field Trip 2005
By The Geography Grads:
Leah Rausch, Katie Price, Colin Belby and Aaron Feggestad

Mickelson the Iceman
Studied the glaciers of this land
With a Brunton compass, a rose diagram
And an Estwing in his hand

Mickelson the Iceman
Knew the cold lobe of Green Bay
It was made of ice but the students know
How it melted out one day

There must have been some magic in
That polka dot hat he wore
For when he placed it on his head
All the students gathered round

Down through the Kettle Moraine
With a topo map in his hand
Stopping here and there all around the park
Always sampling if you can

Mickelson the Iceman
Retired one spring day
But he waved goodbye sayin’ don’t you cry
The ice’ll be back again some day…
