This page will contain links to the laboratory exercises to be done throughout the semester.  Labs will be available just prior to the scheduled time for laboratory sessions; Wednesday, 1:20 – 3:15 and 3:30 – 5:25.  Note: you need Acrobat Reader to read labs (pdf format) from this site. 

 

Lab_01  

The materials for this lab (including a hard copy of the exercise) are on reserve in the Geology Library.  If you have any questions regarding the techniques involved in using topographic maps and/or air photos (mainly using stereo glasses), please contact Ben. 

 

Lab_02

The reading assignment for this lab is on reserve in the Geology Library. 

 

Homework_1

The floppy disks containing the ice sheet game are on reserve in the Geology Library.  Remember to run the game from a floppy disk in DOS or the Command Prompt in windows. 

The files for the ice sheet game can be downloaded here: zipped_game.zip (right click on the link and select “Save Link As” or “Save Target As” to download the file to a disk or hard drive).  You need winzip software to open this file.  Once you have unzipped the file, transfer all of the files to a floppy disk.  Then, follow the instructions to run the game in DOS or the Command Prompt.
