Spreadsheet programs like Excel have extensive data analysis options which are commonly not all installed or activated by the default installation of the program. Check the Tool Menu to see whether the Data Analysis... menu item is present - it is usually the last item on the menu. If it is not, to access this feature on fairly recent versions of Excel, select Add Ins... from the Tools Menu and select the Analysis Toolpack check box. This will make the Histogram tool available for your use.
