FIRST CIRCULAR


PACROFI conferences provide geoscientists studying fluid inclusions with an international forum for the exchange of new ideas. Current research is presented during oral and poster sessions while informal discussions are encouraged during hosted receptions and meals. Conference participants include scientists from academia, government and industry.

Abstracts

Please submit abstracts for oral and poster presentations by March 1, 1998. You will be notified of acceptance and selection for oral or poster presentation by April 1, 1998. Oral presentations are limited to 15 minutes with 5 minutes for questions. Poster presenters will have the opportunity to offer a two minute oral introduction to their posters during the meeting. Abstracts will be bound and available during the symposium

 

Location

PACROFI VII will be held on the campus of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) on June 1- 4, 1998. A reception is scheduled the evening of June 1.

UNLV, located in America's premier entertainment capital, Las Vegas, is a 335 acre urban University. UNLV is located close to the "Strip", casinos and restaurants. The city enjoys a desert climate, and offers a wide variety of hotels. The nearest hotels are approximately one mile from the campus.

Accommodations will be available in campus housing for $21/night for a single or $15/night per person for a double room. Student dormitories are air conditioned, suite style housing (2 rooms connected by an adjoining bathroom), towels and linens are included.
