The Geology Museum is a popular tour destination on the University of Wisconsin Madison campus. From kindergarten classes through adult civic groups, our tours are tailored to deliver age-appropriate content to each group. To learn more, please see our Tour section.

The Geology Museum is located in Weeks Hall at 1215 W. Dayton Street, on the corner of Charter and Dayton streets on the campus of the University of Wisconsin – Madison.

Parking and Bus Information:
On-street parking (with 2-hour enforced parking limits) is available near the museum. However, it can be difficult to find vacant spots so if you plan on coming in multiple vehicles we encourage you to contact the University Parking Office at (608) 262-8683 and request the appropriate number of permits for Lot 17, which is located four blocks from the museum, near Camp Randall.
The nearest public parking garage is located at Grainger Hall, which is accessible from Brooks Street between University Avenue and W. Johnson Street.

Monday – Friday: 7am – Noon
Monday – Friday: 3pm – 8:45 pm
Saturday: 7:15 am – 11:30 pm
Busses operate regularly on University Avenue, W. Johnson Street, and Park Street, all of which are within walking distance of the museum.
