The Friends of the Geology Museum, University of Wisconsin-Madison, Inc. is registered with the Wisconsin Secretary of State as a non-stock corporation for charitable purposes and is exempt under U.S. Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3) as a public charity. As a result of this determination, donations, in-kind services, and Friends of the Geology Museum memberships are U.S. tax-deductible.
