A Busy Spring!

Our Museum Open House will be on Sunday, May 5th

Before that, though, Karen Chin - a paleontologist who studies coprolites - will be giving a lecture on April 27th. All are invited to the L.R. Lauden lecture hall at 3:30 to attend.

On a side note, there hasn't been much activity on the web front in the last year, due to some staff switches. Bear with us, it won't stay the same forever.

The Geology Museum will be closed Saturday, August 5

The Space Science and Engineering building will be getting a new antennae that day. To place it atop the 16-story building, a helicopter will lift the metal strutcture to the roof. This means no one will be allowed to enter or leave Weeks Hall from 9:00 AM until afterthe new antennae is in place.

In the last 11 days, we have had more than 200 visits to our webpage. We hope to add content that will keep people returning even more often. New material gets added weekly - check out the latest:

We are taking applications for a new full-time position of Assistant Director (links to the department page, outside the museum).

The new site is up!

After a longer than anticipated delay, the new layout for the Geology Museum Website is running. With more than 85 different html pages, it's almost 50% larger than the old site, and growing. Unfortunately, much of the new content has not been written so there are many empty pages - something we hope to remedy quickly.
