Field Trip to ThermoNoran-background material

Our class will be visiting the ThermoNoran facility in Middleton, and we will be learning about three techniques that are related to the subject matter of our course:
(1) electron backscatter diffraction analysis,
(2) microcalorimetry ("EDS with WDS precision"), and
(3) XRF and micro-XRF.
