Madison WI -- Talks by Paul Hlava -- October 18 and 19

• Paul will give a talk on "Causes of Color in Minerals and Gemstones" at the Fall meeting of the Midwest Microscopy and Microanalysis Society. The talk is at 11 AM Thursday October 18, in Room 225 of the USDA Dairy Forage Research Lab at 1925 Linden Drive West on the campus of UW-Madison. Registration for the meeting is $10/5 (regular/student MMMS membership), but students and the public is invited to hear Paul's talk at no cost. (See schedule of meeting)

• "Strategy and Tactics of Electron Microprobe Analysis" at 9:55 Friday Oct 19 in Room 212 Weeks Hall.
