Molluscan Paleoecology Databases

The following databases were created as part of Gwen M. Daley's University of Wisconsin-Madison Department of Geology and Geophysics Weeks Post-Doctoral Fellowship research into the paleoecology of the Fort Thompson Formation. They were created using Filemaker Pro 5.5 software.

MAD - Molluscan Autecology Database
Searchable database of ecological information for over 300 species of Western Atlantic bivalves and gastropods. The database includes both extinct (Pliocene) and extant taxa.

Fort Thompson Formation Mollusks
Searchable image database of fossil bivalve and gastropod species collected in my Ft. Thompson Formation research. Each species has 2-4 images.

Benthic Surveys
Searchable species lists and bibliographic information for the benthic surveys used in the MAD database.

Johnsonia Index
Searchable database of species monographed in the journal Johnsonia.

Western Atlantic Genera
Checklist of common fossil and recent molluscan genera.
