1. Web lecture material.
Material discussed in lectures is not a duplicate of what is covered in the text. Henceforth, materials put up on the web will only OUTLINE the lecture discussion. Neither is intended to replace the material that will be covered in the lecture. Instead, the text, discussion meetings, and web information are intended to provide BACKGROUND for information covered in lecture. If you miss a lecture for whatever reason please see one of the faculty about ways to obtain the information missed. If you regularly miss lectures you may be surprised about questions that appear on the exams.
2. Second Hour Exam !!CHANGE IN EXAM REVIEW LOC. SEE BELOW!!
The second hour exam is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 12, during the normally scheduled class. The exam will be similar to the last exam in that it will be about 20% written answers and 80% machine scored answers (multiple choice, matching, and true/false). Review sessions are scheduled for this Thursday at 5PM in 212 Weeks (Nov. 7) and next Monday (Nov. 11) at 5:00 pm in the AB20 Weeks. Come with questions about concepts and ideas that you would like to hear more about, have explained again, etc. etc.
The exam will cover material from lecture 9 to lecture 19. Material covered in Thursday's lecture (lect 20) will be covered in the final exam.
What to study? Look over the questions at the end of the chapters and material covered in class lectures. We will try to put some sample questions up on the web as soon as they can be put in the proper form.
