  ---- Integrated surface processes/tectonics/metamorphic geology -----Postdoctoral position ----- Looking for an individual who would like to be at the center of an effort to study interactions among tectonic, petrologic, and surface-process systems, all broadly defined. The effort will be highly interdisciplinary and will involve participants whose research interests intersect the triple junction among surface processes, tectonics, and metamorphic geology.  Qualifications for this 2 year postdoctoral position are a PhD in some aspect of tectonic, metamorphic, or Earth-surface systems, preferably with some expertise in quantitative analysis and/or modeling. RHODES UNIVERSITY ---- Grahamstown, South Africa ---- Principal Technical Officer : Electron Microprobe Laboratory.  Candidates should have a minimum of a BSc(Honours) degree with a strong background in Earth Science or related disciplines and be computer literate. Primary responsibilities include the operation and basic maintenance of the Department s JEOL 733 electron microprobe regional research facility. UNIVERSITIES SPACE RESEARCH ASSOCIATION (USRA), in conjunction with the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE), announces the NASA Faculty Fellowship Program (NFFP) for the summer of 2003. This 10-week summer research residency provides an excellent opportunity for faculty to become involved with research challenges important to NASA's strategic enterprises. The primary objectives of the NASA Faculty Fellowship Program are to increase the quality and quantity of research collaborations between NASA and the academic community that contribute to NASA's research objectives and to provide research opportunities for college and university faculty that serve to enrich their knowledge base. UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII AT HILO ---- Volcano Geophysicist ---- Full time, tenure track position at the Assistant Professor level (position 86412) is open.  Required to teach 3 courses per semester. OREGON STATE UNIVERSITY ---- Faculty position in Marine Geophysics - College of Oceanic and Atmospheric Sciences (COAS) announces the availability of a tenure track faculty position with a specialty in sub-seafloor physical processes.  Essential qualifications include a Ph.D. in marine geophysics or a closely related field, a record of significant and innovative research, and the clear potential to attract external funding.  Preference will be given to candidates at the Assistant Professor level, however, applicants with an exceptional record of research achievements and other relevant experience may be considered at the Associate Professor level.  For full consideration complete applications must arrive by 2/21/03.
