Meteorite Update
The three images above were taken April 16, 2010; The meteorite was brought to the UW-Madison Geology Museum on April 15.
Rich Slaughter, director of the Geology Museum, has a party of eight on the ground combing a field west of Madison where this piece was found. The Chicago Field Museum is searching a field across the highway from Rich's team. There are two pieces in Weeks Hall (UW-Madison, Department of Geoscience) at present and the museum expects to have at least four pieces on display this week. The other teams are also finding material; the largest sample so far is 130 g.
