Natural Resources Canada is unlike any US Federal Government agency. NRCan centralizes responsibity for the management of all natural resources in Canada - minerals, forests, water resources, and so on. In this way it is similar to Wisconsin's Department of Natural Resources.

GEOSCAN is a bibliographic database of predominantly Geological
Survey of Canada publications containing over 40,000 records concerning
the Canadian landmass and offshore regions.
