Renewable Resources
| The prospect of fossil fuels finally running out has lead to an increased interest in renewable sources of energy. As you probably know, the topic of human kind's need for renewable energy is becoming more and more well known everyday, mostly, because the world needs a source of energy that will last longer than our limited supply of fossil fuels. Pollution is also an issue. Many environmentalist groups are pushing towards more "Earth friendly" sources of energy. The world will have to come up with new ideas and methods for creating energy, or civilization will come to a screeching halt around the year 2040(Brown,1998). There are three main, practical solutions to the energy crisis: solar power, wind power and water power, all of which are useful and definitely needed for the future, to balance out our everyday needs for energy |
