Changing your password on Ice
After you have logged in to Ice, you can change your password manually by typing the "passwd" command (no quotes) at the prompt. It will ask you for your current password. After you do so, it will then ask you to type in a new password twice. Password changes should propagate immediately.
If you have it set up to save your password, you may have to turn off this feature under the Tools -> Preferences menu, in the "Checking Mail" area.
If it doesn't automatically detect that your old password doesn't work after you change it (thus allowing you to put in a new one and saving it), you will need to go into the Tools -> Account Settings menu (in Outlook 2007), choose your geology account, and click "Change". There you can uncheck "Remember Password."
